The Advanced Recycling Alliance for Plastics (ARAP), a self-funded group of the American Chemistry Council’s Plastics Division, was founded in 2014 to work on enhancing public policy in support of technologies that convert post-use plastics into a diverse range of raw materials, feedstocks for manufacturing, chemicals and fuels. ARAP works to:
- grow awareness of the benefits of advanced plastics recycling technologies that convert post-use plastics into chemicals, fuels and other products;
- grow and scale advanced recycling into a viable industry solution; and
- demonstrate broad support for advanced recycling technologies through an expanding network of allies.
