Contact Us Shari Jackson(202) 249-6616 About: The Flexible Film Recycling Group (FFRG) is working to significantly increase the collection and recycling of all flexible films and to educate the public about the importance of recycling. Who We Are: The FFRG’s members are from the entire polyethylene (PE) film value chain, including major resin suppliers, manufacturers (also known as converters), brand owners and recyclers. Our Primary Goals: Double the recycling of polyethylene (PE) film packaging to 2 billion lbs. by 2020. Promote and increase plastic film recycling through education and outreach. Enhance and expand the commercial film recovery infrastructure. Our Programs: FFRG is implementing a national multi-stakeholder public awareness initiative known as the Wrap Recycling Action Program (WRAP). WRAP seeks to educate and engage more consumers and businesses in effective programs to recycle plastic bags, product overwraps and other film packaging. WRAP stakeholders share a common goal: to make plastic film packaging a commonly recycled material with a strong and ever-growing recycling rate. We’re identifying opportunities and barriers to the recovery of PE film from small and medium-sized retailers, as well as developing a roadmap to help support elimination of barriers. Our Resources: Please visit our comprehensive resource website PlasticFilmRecycling.org for more information on what and how to recycle plastic bags, wraps and film. Research and Studies: 2017 National Postconsumer Plastic Bag & Film Recycling Report The 2017 National Postconsumer Plastic Bag and Film Recycling Report is the thirteenth annual report on the amount of plastic bags and film recovered in the United States for recycling.
