Advanced plastics recycling, also called chemical recycling, refers to several different technologies that convert post-use plastics into their original building blocks, specialty polymers, feedstocks for new plastics, fuels, waxes, and other valuable products.

The Advanced Recycling Alliance for Plastics works to:
- grow awareness of the benefits of advanced plastics recycling technologies that convert post-use plastics into chemicals, fuels and other products;
- grow and scale advanced recycling into a v iable industry solution; and
- demonstrate broad support for advanced recycling technologies through an expanding network of allies.
The Advanced Recycling Alliance for Plastics has three membership categories to include companies that have a stake in establishing strong, advanced plastics recycling and recovery solutions.

Membership
Tier I membership (Technology Providers) is open to entities that develop and implement technologies which convert post-use plastics into petroleum-based fuels, chemicals, feedstocks and other products.
